Folsom schools are ah-ma-zing and are one big reason why a lot of people choose to move to Folsom. They are consistently ranked some of the best in the area. There are currently 10 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 2 high schools within Folsom boundaries.
Planned in the Folsom Ranch development south of highway 50 are two future elementary schools, plus one middle school, and one high school. Mangini Ranch will be the first elementary school and is currently in design phase. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2019 and open for the 2020/21 school year, assuming housing starts proceed as projected by the Folsom Ranch developers.
